Meanwhile, the UC Irvine Anteaters typically have all the answers at home, but on Sunday Duquesne proved too difficult a challenge. Duquesne blew past UC Irvine 76-54. Among those leading the charge for the Dukes was guard Leon Ayers III, who had 24 points in addition to six rebounds.
Their wins bumped the Terriers to 8-4 and Duquesne to 5-7. After both teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one of them is set up to suffer a discouraging change of fortune.
