What to Know
The Fresno State Bulldogs will hit the road for the second straight game as they head to Dee Events Center at 6 p.m. ET on Thursday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they’ll have plenty of motivation to get the ‘W.’
The Bulldogs were within striking distance but couldn’t close the gap on Tuesday as they fell 55-50 to the Utah Utes. Guard Isaiah Hill had a pretty forgettable game, finishing with only nine points on 4-for-13 shooting and turning the ball over four times in his 36 minutes on the court.
Meanwhile, the contest between the Weber State Wildcats and the Brigham Young Cougars this past Saturday was not a total blowout, but with Weber State falling 89-71 at home, it was darn close to turning into one. Weber State’s loss came about despite a quality game from forward Dillon Jones, who posted a double-double on 20 points and 11 boards.
The losses bumped both teams down to an identical 9-3. Fresno State doesn’t typically stay down for long — they’re 2-0 after losses this year — so Weber State (1-1 after losses) won’t have an easy go of it.
