What to Know
The Pacific Tigers are 8-2 against the San Diego Toreros since December of 2015, and they’ll have a chance to extend that success on Saturday. Pacific and San Diego will face off in a West Coast battle at 8:30 p.m. ET at Spanos Center.
Last Wednesday, the Tigers lost to the Santa Clara Broncos at home by a decisive 84-70 margin. A silver lining for Pacific was the play of guard Alphonso Anderson, who had 23 points along with five boards.
Meanwhile, San Diego came up short against the Brigham Young Cougars on Thursday, falling 79-71. Guard Joey Calcaterra wasn’t much of a difference maker for San Diego; Calcaterra finished with ten points on 4-for-10 shooting in his 28 minutes on the court.
With the two teams each stumbling in off of a defeat, both will be hungry for the win. We’ll see which team satisfies their hunger and which team leaves with an empty stomach.
