College basketball picks for Alabama vs. Kentucky

Before tuning into the Kentucky vs. Alabama game, you need to see the college basketball picks from SportsLine’s advanced computer model. The SportsLine Projection Model simulates every Division I college basketball game 10,000 times. Over the past five-plus years, the proprietary computer model has generated an impressive profit of almost $2,000 for $100 players on its top-rated college basketball picks against the spread. Anyone who has followed it has seen huge returns.

For Alabama vs. Kentucky, the model is projecting that the Wildcats (-7) cover the spread. Kentucky guard TyTy Washington Jr. (ankle) is questionable, and that’s certainly a contributing factor for oddsmakers when setting this single-digit spread.

But going to back to Kentucky’s win over Alabama in Tuscaloosa, Washington was not particularly effective in that matchup. He was 6-of-15 from the field and just 1-of-5 from three-point range. It was big man Oscar Tshiebwe who did most of the damage for the Wildcats. The Wooden Award candidate scored 10 points and grabbed 15 rebounds. He also recorded four steals and blocked a shot as he created issues for Alabama offensively.

SportsLine’s model is calling for another big game for Tshiebwe, who records around 15 points and 12 rebounds in the simulations. Kentucky covers 60 percent of the time, making the Wildcats the clear value play for Kentucky vs. Alabama bets.
