An ACC battle is on tap between the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets and the Syracuse Orange at 7 p.m. ET Monday at Carrier Dome. These two teams seek to continue their momentum from their previous wins.
Even if it wasn’t a dominant performance, Georgia Tech beat the Pittsburgh Panthers 68-62 this past Saturday. The Yellow Jackets’ guard Michael Devoe did his thing and had 22 points in addition to six rebounds.
Meanwhile, ‘Cuse made easy work of the Boston College Eagles this past Saturday and carried off a 76-56 win. ‘Cuse’s success was spearheaded by the efforts of forward Cole Swider, who had 18 points, and forward Jimmy Boeheim, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten boards. Swider’s performance made up for a slower contest against the Virginia Tech Hokies two weeks ago.
Georgia Tech is expected to lose this next one by 9.5. Those who got lucky with them against the spread this past Saturday might want to hold off on placing bets this time since the squad has yet to string together back-to-back wins against the spread.
Georgia Tech beat the Orange 84-77 when the two teams previously met in February of last year. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Yellow Jackets since the team won’t have home-court advantage. We’ll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
