After two games on the road, the West Virginia Mountaineers are heading back home. West Virginia and the #20 Texas Longhorns will face off in a Big 12 battle at 2 p.m. ET Saturday at WVU Coliseum. The Longhorns should still be riding high after a victory, while West Virginia will be looking to right the ship.
West Virginia was close but no cigar on Wednesday as they fell 84-81 to the Iowa State Cyclones. Guard Taz Sherman wasn’t much of a difference maker for West Virginia; Sherman played for 38 minutes with.
Meanwhile, Texas bagged a 75-66 win over the TCU Horned Frogs on Wednesday. Forward Timmy Allen and guard Andrew Jones were among the main playmakers for Texas as the former had 17 points in addition to seven rebounds and the latter had 21 points.
